Personal Safety It is your responsibility to tell your teacher of any injuries, pregnancies or medical issues that may be relevant before practising yoga and to keep them updated in order for them to teach you safely.

Christina Jones is fully insured. By attending classes, you agree to take responsibility for your own practice.

Course Bookings – If you are unable to attend a class in a 4 week booking, no refunds can be made apart from in exceptional circumstances and at the teacher’s discretion.

Data Protection and Privacy Policy – Regarding the collection of personal data including contact details and any medical information for adults and children seeking yoga lessons and/or yoga therapy with Christina Jones.

The collection of this data is required before joining any class or beginning 1:1 yoga or yoga therapy. In line with current Data Protection legislation, only information considered necessary will be stored in order to safely conduct the classes or 1:1 meetings. This information is regarded as personal and confidential and is held securely in line with current legislation and with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council’s Code of Practice. Christina Jones is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a sole trader storing personal data for business purposes and has completed the GDPR audit with the ICO. Should you wish to see a copy of her ICO or CNHC registration details, please feel free to ask.

Personal information is held for 8 years for adults and 25 years for children. After this time it is destroyed securely.

Any information held is confidential and will only be shared if express consent is given or where there is reasonable cause to believe that a child, young person or adult at risk may be suffering or may be at risk of suffering significant harm or where disclosure is required by law.

The only other instance in which personal information might be shared is with a client’s GP should it be considered best to do so, but the client’s permission would be sought first. Case notes may be anonymously discussed in supervision meetings between Christina Jones and her supervisor in order to ensure the highest quality of care. You may object to this should you wish to.

Your own personal records may be accessed by making a request in writing to Christina Jones, and the full procedure will then be explained if required. Information requested would be provided within 40 days, unless the information requested were to relate to another person, in which case that person’s consent would need to be given in order to access this .

With respect to children’s records, children and their parents may request access to personal records. The best interests of the child will always be considered.

Yoga Retreats – Personal holiday insurance is a pre-requisite for all yoga retreats. This is to cover all parties from any unforeseen circumstances resulting in cancellation.

Christina Jones cannot be held responsible for participants’ personal circumstances that result in cancellation, including commiserating circumstances.

Personal holiday insurance allows the individual to attempt to recover any losses through their travel insurance company.

Please be advised that all payments towards a retreat are non refundable and non transferable. In the case of acts of nature where circumstances are beyond the control of either Christina Jones or the venue, there can be no returned payments.
